Akashi Updates

First automation, lead generation setups, automations at 9-5

Note to Self #002

Okay, finally, some real-time updates on how the business, Akashi Labs, is going.

What I’ve been working on recently

1) First Automation!

  • I launched my very first AI-powered automation for a business last week!

    • I built a Google Review Reply Automation system for a local restaurant.

    • The automation in a nutshell: 1) Detect new Google reviews, 2) Use AI to draft a response, 3) Send an email to the business using dynamic fields with the response draft for them to reply more easily and quickly.

    • As a result, the time to draft a response and then post it is cut down by approximately 70%.

Challenges:

  • Initially, it was going to be a simple 3-module automation. My Google API application didn’t go through, so I had to find a way to work around it.

  • Did this by text parsing the email notification they get from a new review to get the customer name, review, and rating.

2) Setting up lead generation methods (Upwork + Cold Emails)

  • I set up an Upwork profile to try to get clients there

  • I bought 2 other domains and created 6 email addresses to start doing cold emails with Instantly. Waiting for the emails to warm up.

3) Started doing automation work in my 9-5 too

  • Coincidentally, I also started doing automation work at my 9-5 job. Currently creating notification systems for staffing ops.

Next Steps:

  1. Clarify next steps with the current client and ask for a review + feedback

  2. Start applying on Upwork
